Hi, I’m Johanna—a mother, doula, and believer in the power of being deeply supported through the transitions of womanhood and parenthood.

My journey into birth work began with my own path to motherhood. Living with PCOS, I wasn’t sure that becoming pregnant would be part of my story. When I did become pregnant with my son, I approached birth intentionally. I read, researched, prepared for labor, and did everything I could to feel ready for the experience ahead.

And then birth surprised me.

While I was sleeping in the hospital, my son was born. It was nothing like the birth I had imagined, despite all the preparation I had done. His arrival taught me that preparation is important, but birth can still unfold in ways we never anticipate. What matters is having support that allows you to feel grounded, informed, heard, and cared for through whatever your experience brings.

Becoming a mother transformed the way I understood fertility, birth, postpartum, and the importance of having a village. It sparked a deeper interest in reproductive wellness, herbalism, nutrition, birth education, and the ways traditional wisdom and evidence-based information can exist alongside one another.

I am currently training as a full-spectrum doula through Doula Trainings International (DTI), continuing to deepen my education so I can support families with both compassion and knowledge. My approach is rooted in softness, advocacy, and grace. I believe you deserve someone who will listen deeply, honor your choices, and stand beside you when you need your voice amplified.

Outside of doula work, I’m a mother who loves spending time with my husband and son, creating and crafting, learning about herbalism and nutrition, sharing meals, and communing with the people I love.

My own journey has taught me that becoming doesn’t always happen the way we imagine it will. Sometimes it takes us somewhere entirely unexpected—and there can be so much beauty in that.

It would be an honor to walk beside you through your own becoming.

What is a doula?

The origin of the word Doula translates to with woman
